Welcome back to 10 Days to a Peaceful Home and Homeschool!
If you joined us yesterday, you spent some time reconnecting with your “why.” Today, we take our first visible step toward peace by clearing a small space.

I don’t mean a full-on home makeover or an entire day of deep cleaning. I mean a gentle reset of one space that helps you breathe easier.

Because peace isn’t found in perfection. It’s found in margin, in breathing room, in the spaces where your eyes can rest.

Choose One Space

Homeschool Bookshelf

Think small.

  • A kitchen counter that collects papers
  • A homeschool shelf that’s overflowing
  • The corner of your bedroom that never feels restful
  • The entryway you trip over every morning
  • Your kids’ homeschool bin

Pick one space, not a whole room, and give yourself permission to stop there.

A Simple Decluttering Flow

If you’re not sure where to begin, here’s a gentle routine:

  1. Clear everything off
Start with a clean slate, even if it’s just a corner of the table.
  2. Wipe it down
Something about physically cleaning resets your mindset too.
  3. Only put back what the space needs
Not what looks cute. Not what you might need. Only what brings order, beauty, or function.

Why Decluttering Matters

You don’t need a perfect home to homeschool well, but you do need peaceful spaces that support your vision.

Clearing physical clutter creates emotional and mental space for connection, focus, and margin.
When our environments feel calmer, so do we. Our children benefit from this, as well!

Journal Prompts for Today

Take a moment after decluttering and reflect:

  • How did that space affect my mood before?
  • How do I feel now that it’s clearer?
  • What other spaces in my home create stress?
  • What small shift can I make to reclaim one of them?

This isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing one small thing today, with intention.

I’d love to know, what space did you choose today?

Tomorrow, we’ll move into rhythms and routines because peace thrives on steady, flexible flow.
