In December I love to change things up and do “Christmas school” with the kids. Last week I shared our Christmas morning basket, and this week I’m going to share our Christmas preschool lesson plans and the different items I am using for my kindergartner and preschoolers! I just love creating preschool lesson plans! During this month I am using a mix of my own resources and resources created by others.

Planning Christmas lesson plans for preschool and kindergarten is so much fun! Come check out these resources to make your Christmas lesson plans amazing!

Christmas Preschool Lesson Plans

I decided to purchase The Christmas Guide from The Peaceful Press to use this year. They set up their preschool lesson plans very similarly to the way I do, so I thought it would be fun to go ahead and try some that were pre-made. Of course, I always change things up and move things around to suit our family, but there have been lots of fun activities! Christmas is definitely the best preschool theme there is!

I’ve also enjoyed their book list selections.

So far we’ve made popsicle stick snowflakes, a paper chain Christmas countdown, we attempted to make star ornaments out of sticks, and had fun with the letter J and jingle bells.

Nativity Printable Pack

I’ve also added in my own nativity printable pack. This 17 page pack includes do-a-dot pages which my preschoolers LOVE, plus several different activities.

Our favorite, by far, is the Build a Nativity activity. I let the kids use watercolor paints to paint their own background scene.

The kids also really enjoy the clip cards and the sequencing puzzle!

On Sundays we light our Advent wreath. I found this one pretty inexpensively. I highly recommend adding that to your family time during Christmas. It’s so special! We got these Advent candles, too.

I also made nativity three part cards and a memory match game to go along with our activities!

Christmas Preschool Books

Here’s a list of some of our very favorite Christmas books for preschool and kindergarten.

I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season with your family, and that some of these resources help you have fun and make memories with your kids!
