Our cats are members of our family. And just like feeding kids, when it comes to feeding cats I have to choose the right food. Cats can be picky little creatures, and our cats are no different. If I attempt to give them a food that they don’t like, instead of eat it, they will wait until some of our food is sitting around to try and eat that!
I will never forget the day I fixed myself a plate of leftover ham and sweet potatoes. I left in on the dining room table while I ran to do another chore, and my oldest son saw our calico cat, Esther, get on the table and start eating out of my plate. Instead of shooing her away, he actually took a picture. Oh, boy. Now I make sure to give the cats food they like.

We have the same problem with my cats! My one cat has actually taken food from my hand when I was trying to eat it! They can be sneaky! My other cat will just turn her nose up at food she doesn’t like, leaving it sit there while she meows at us for something different! Cheeky kitty! π
