Fall Front Porch Ideas

I’m so excited today to share with you my fall front porch decorating ideas. You know I like to keep things fairly simple, but I just love decorating for fall so much that I enjoy adding some extra specials touches for fall. Several of these items are used throughout my home during the year or they are items that we reuse year after year. We did purchase a few new things for our porch. Let’s jump right into our fall front porch tour!

Fall Front Porch Decorating Ideas on a Budget

The first thing I want to show you is my burlap wreath that I made last year. I bought the wreath frame, pumpkins, and flowers at the Dollar Tree and purchased the burlap and ribbons at Walmart. I followed this burlap wreath tutorial and was really happy with the finished product!

To the left of our front door we have two scarecrow people. We have had these scarecrows for years and years. The man scarecrow has a bit of mold on his face, so it’s time to replace him, but the lady scarecrow is doing just fine. My husband picked up these little hay bales for about $8 each at Walmart. I decided to decorate with real pumpkins this year except for the little white pumpkin.

Here’s a closer look at our pumpkins and hay. I was actually taken aback when I took the packaging off the hay bales. It smells like a barn for sure!

On the other side of our door I placed one hay bale, some pumpkins, our Welcome sign that I got from Hobby Lobby (on sale, of course, and it stays out all year), plus this galvanized container. We found the wheat and cattails at Home Depot. I think I’d like to add a little cotton to this container, too.

Here’s a closer look at the wheat and cattails. I just love this spot. It just says farm and fall. I still love the farmhouse style!

Here’s a wider view of my front porch and how these fall decorations look on either side of the door. I had planned on getting a new door mat, but I actually forgot to look at them while I was at Walmart! Oops! This one is simple and works for now. 

I do have a pot of mums I would love to put around the hay bales, but there’s just not enough light on the front porch for them, so they are further out.

We do have an area further to the left with a small window. I’m thinking about adding a bench there. I think some cute fall pillows on the bench would be just perfect and would give us somewhere to sit when we want to hang out on the front porch.
