As homemakers our days are busy! There is so much to keep up with! We have family activities, church activities, school activities, appointments, holidays, birthdays, get-togethers, housework, menu plans, and the list could go on! With so much going on, it is easy to forget something! I’m a big fan of traditional planners and I recently got to review what I consider a complete daily planner for homemakers.

A Complete Daily Planner for Homemakers - Review

This Daily Planner from homemakersfriend.com by Sue Hooley includes a section for everything you will need to plan! I am currently using their 2014 Daily Planner, and I must say it is absolutely beautiful! A lot of us ladies like things that are both lovely and practical, and this planner is definitely both! The main color is a beautiful purple and purple is my favorite! Every section begins with a lovely quote.

The first little section of the planner includes a 4-year calendar at a glance and an explanation of how to use the planner. The ideas that Sue gives you to help you make the most of the planner are wonderful!

The next section includes two mini calendars: one for the current year, and one for the next year along with a place to write down all the important dates to remember.

Then there is a monthly calendar. You can pencil in all the important things you need to remember for the month here.

I enjoy the weekly section . It includes a tasks list where you can write down the important tasks that must be done that week and then each day write down what you need to do. There is even a menu section where you can write down the day’s supper menu! Each week includes a verse from Proverbs that is encouraging.

The next section is a Tasks section. The pages are purposefully untitled so you can plan your own tasks. I have used mine to write out my monthly reading lists. You could also plan your garden here.

The Projects and Events section is wonderful for planning parties. I just used mine to plan our Easter!

There is an info section for names, addresses, and phone numbers of important people.

I love the last section: the Shopping section! I have not seen anything like this in a planner before now. It begins with an area to write down your stores phone numbers and it includes several perforated shopping lists that allow you to write down everything you need from the store and then tear it out and take it with you! I love it!

This is such an awesome daily planner for homemakers. It has everything I need to plan my days. I love that it is the perfect size to fit in my purse. It is spiral bound and sturdy. I’ve already put mine through a lot. I have accidentally spilled some coffee on it, so I just let it dry and it still works perfectly for me!

The 2015 Daily Planner is now available for $13.99. The design is a little different, but still lovely. The 2014 planners are on sale for $6.99, but there are limited quantities!

Sue has graciously offered to giveaway 1 2014 Daily Planner to a reader here at Simple Living Mama! If you are still looking for a daily planner this year, (it is only April), enter below!

I received a 2014 Daily Planner in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine.

  1. Oh I could so use this planner. I’m trying really hard to get organized and on a schedule. But so far nothing is really working. Maybe if I had a planner like this one where you could literally put everything in it, I could get more organized.

  2. this reminds me of my all time favorite planner that I had YEARS ago by Emilie Barnes,…I have 8 kiddos, I NEED this planner! ;o)

  3. I am so excited about this giveaway! I am a list maker/calendar person. We are a family of six and it’s a lot to keep everything/everyone on track. I would LOVE to have a planner that I could put everything into(calendar/lists/etc) and be able to carry it with me. The planners at office supply stores are so very expensive and not in our budget. Thank you.

  4. This planner looks fantastic and would hopefully get me into organized mode, and not forgetful mode!! LOL
I have pinned quite a few items from your blog! Thank you!!!!
