How To Roll Beeswax Candles

I am so excited to bring you another handicraft project today! This has to be one of the most enjoyable handicrafts my kids and I have done together so far because it’s incredibly easy and offers a fun way to be creative! Today we are going to learn how to roll beeswax candles.
These beeswax candles are made out of sheets of beeswax. They smell delicious and make pretty candles very easily! These beeswax candles also make awesome gifts for Christmas.
How do you make beeswax rolled candles?
The process for making beeswax candles is very simple. I purchased a beeswax candle rolling kit from Amazon. There are several kits to choose from, but I decided I wanted to get the Holiday Brights collection from Magic Cabin so we could make Christmas candles.
Our particular kit came with several sheets of beeswax in white, green, red, yellow, and burgundy. I really loved all of the colors! We also received a pattern for making a tapered beeswax candle along with some instructions and wick.
How to hand roll candles.
First, you need to decide how you want to make your candle. Do you want a tapered candle? If so, you need to cut your beeswax sheet at a slant. If you want to make a fat candle, you can just roll up the entire sheet of beeswax. I used a pocket knife to cut our beeswax, but you can also use an xacto knife.
Wick Size for Rolled Beeswax Candle
For a tapered beeswax candle, you can use 1/0 – 2 for the wick size.
Place the end of the wick at the bottom of your candle and cut the wick off about an inch above where your candle will start. You can use a hair dryer to warm up your beeswax rolling sheets quickly. This will make the beeswax sheet malleable.
Press the wick into the beeswax, begin rolling by covering the wick and then rolling the candle tightly until your reach the end!
It’s that simple! Of course you can get more creative with your beeswax candle like my daughter did by adding stripes and holly leaves and berries.
Beeswax candles with kids
Rolled beeswax candles are really the perfect activity to do with kids because it’s so easy. Even my four year old was able to roll his own beeswax candle and add decoration. He is proud of his accomplishment and can’t wait to give his candle as a gift!
We like to use a cute little candle holder for all of our beeswax candles, so we do mold the ends of our candles to fit into those candle holders. I love how easy it is to make the beeswax candles fit into the particular holder that you want!

Instructions
