It’s March! We are so excited that spring is just around the corner and we will soon be able to get some nice sunshine and spend more time outside. I am excited about our homeschool morning basket this month. We are going to have a wide variety of subjects that we will be studying this month. Let’s dive on in and let me show you our March homeschool morning basket!

We are continuing on with The Homeschool Garden. It’s brought so much joy and ease to our homeschool days! This month’s theme is Ireland, which is perfect because we never studied Ireland with ECC, and it happens to be one of my favorite countries!
There are three selections of memory work this month, but we only chose one.
“Fossils” by Ogden Nash.
We are also continuing on with our scripture memory in Matthew.
We are learning about The Book of Kells and studying some wonderful pieces.
I’m not familiar with this composer, so I am enjoying learning with the kids.
The Lake Isle of Innisfree by W.B. Yeats
Cockles and Mussels
Be Thou My Vision
Flora and Fauna of Ireland
Shakespeare is included in The Homeschool Garden. I will be reading The Tempest from Tales from Shakespeare.

You know the drill with Bible. We are using My Father’s World ECC and the books below are what we are using.
Window on the World
Book of Matthew
We have moved into Asia in MFW ECC and so we are doing our Asian picture books with Beautiful Feet Books. This month we are studying Saudi Arabia and India, so I’m happy about these books!
Since it’s March and St. Patrick’s Day is in the middle of the month, we have a few Irish and fairy read alouds, too!
We are reading a Magic Treehouse Book this month!
Preschool Morning Basket
We are finishing up our activities from “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” from last month.
We will also spend time reading the Irish themed picture books together and doing our St. Patrick’s Day coloring pages.
More Homeschool Morning Time Resources
And that wraps up our plans from March. This has definitely been one of my most favorite homeschool years, and one in which I feel like I’ve been able to give my children a “feast” in a very doable way!
It’s our favorite resource for homeschool morning time!
