It’s everything pumpkin season! Fall is my favorite time of the year. The weather is just right here in Arkansas, the trees put on a dazzling display, and we always take a field trip to a local pumpkin patch. If you’re planning a fun field trip to your local pumpkin patch, you may want to make this super easy pumpkin patch dessert for your kiddos to enjoy after you get done exploring! Bonus, you don’t have to actually bake anything, and your kids can even help make them! These would also be easy snacks for a Halloween party!

Pumpkin Patch Dessert

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Hostess Suzy Q’s
1 pkg. Chocolate Graham Crackers
1 Container Vanilla Frosting
1 Container Chocolate Frosting
1 pkg. Candy Pumpkins
8 Wood Craft Sticks
8 Round Wood Pieces (sold at craft stores)
Green Candy Shreds
Black Marker
Glue Gun

  1. Crush one package of the graham crackers.
  2. Spread the chocolate frosting onto the Suzy Q cakes, and sprinkle a layer of the crushed grahams on top.
  1. Color the vanilla frosting green and put it in a plastic baggie. Place a few pumpkins on each cake and make some curly leaves/stems from the pumpkin to the dirt with the green frosting.

4. Write the word pumpkins on each round wood piece and glue each one to a craft stick using a hot glue gun.

  1. Stick a sign into each cake.
  2. Sprinkle a little bit of the green candy shreds in a few spots to look like grass.

How cute are these? I think they would even make fun treats for a class party or a homeschool party!
