One of the best gifts I believe you can give a little girl is a dollhouse. They provide hours and hours of imaginative play, they are fun to decorate, and they are just overall excellent toys. Today I’m going to show you some of the best dollhouses for preschoolers and toddlers. We own a few of these ourselves and they are definitely the most played with toys in our home!

What is a good age for a dollhouse?

If you’re wondering about a good age for a dollhouse, I believe around 2-3 years old all the way up to 10 years old. Girls of all ages love playing with dollhouses! Even adults, hehe!

Best Wooden Dollhouses

Grand View Mansion Dollhouse

This dollhouse is the ultimate dollhouse! With four levels, 34 pieces of pretty furniture, and beautiful decorations any girl would love to play with this dollhouse! This dollhouse will fit Barbie sized dolls, includes an elevator and a garage, and has eight bedrooms. Reviewers raved about this dollhouse, but be warned it will take some time to put together!

KidKraft Annabelle Dollhouse with Furniture

How cute is this Annabelle dollhouse! I love the pretty pink roof and all of the features. This dollhouse includes three levels, four rooms, and a balcony. There is an elevator and 16 pieces of furniture. While it is super cute , some reviewers complained about the quality of the wood with this dollhouse.

What is the best dollhouse for a 4 year old?

KidKraft Savannah Dollhouse

This is the dollhouse that we personally own. It has held up for five years now. My girls absolutely love it and it looks beautiful in their bedroom. I will say that the wood is not real wood, so a window isn’t in good shape because one of my kids climbed on it. There’s also an issue with one of the floor pieces. Overall, it’s been a great dollhouse and stood up pretty well to my rowdy kids!

Best Dollhouse for 2-3 Year Old

Melissa and Doug Multi-Level Dollhouse

If you’re looking for a cute dollhouse that is a little more toned down than the KidKraft versions, this is a good choice! It comes with 19 pieces of furniture. This dollhouse doesn’t comfortably fit Barbie sized dolls, so would be better suited for smaller dolls. Most reviewers were happy with the purchase, though some complained about the quality of the wood.

Fisher Price Surprise and Sounds

The very first dollhouse I bought my toddler was a Fisher-Price dollhouse. It was the perfect size, we could fold it up to go different places, and it still gets played with by my younger kids.

Peppa Pig Dollhouse

If you have a child who loves Peppa Pig, this dollhouse will be a hit. My three year old has spent countless hours with her little Peppa Pig playset. She carries it around the house and plays with it every single day.

Calico Critters Red Roof Country Home

I absolutely love the Calico Critters. They are beyond adorable and high quality. If your child likes to play with little animal dolls, these will be a big hit. This house includes over 50 pieces of furniture and two critters.
