A few weeks ago, my kids were staying at my parents’ house. My mom pulled out my old porcelain doll collection and my daughter was in love with all of my old porcelain dolls. Some of the dolls had not been taken of very well. One doll in particular had two broken legs. My oldest son, determined as he is, decided he was going to make that doll prosthetic legs.
Out of cardboard and tape he crafted to porcelain legs and feet. My mom said he sat and made sure the legs were the same length and he was incredibly proud of his ingenuity. I posted about it on Facebook, and one of my friends said, “He’s a tinker!” That he is. If you have kids like my son who love to build and make things, you may want to look into some of these gifts for kids who love to build! I’ll be snatching a few things up for my son for Christmas!
