The holiday season is upon us, and if you’re like me, you’re looking through holiday gift guides and trying to figure out what gifts to get your kids! I have a very artistic child, so I thought I would put together a list of the best gifts for kids who love arts and crafts. I want these gifts to not only be fun, but also functional. There’s nothing like creating something that’s beautiful and useful! (Psst…There’s a pretty amazing giveaway at the bottom of this post!)

Awesome Gift Ideas for the Artsy Kid
Lulu Jr. IlluStory Book Making Kit
Do you have a child who dreams of writing a book? This bookmaking kit allows your child to write and illustrate their very own book! Once done, you simply mail in your child’s work in the prepaid envelope and you’ll receive a hard cover book within 2-3 weeks.
Hide and Seek Rock Painting Kit
My daughter loves painting rocks. This rock painting kit is pretty cool because it comes with a positive message. Paint a rock and spread some kindness! Leave your rocks where others can find them. They even include tracking stickers so you can see where your rock was found if you choose to do so!
We love hanging pretty things in our windows. This window art kit includes 20 projects to paint and hang in windows for a pretty pop of color!
Another crafty and useful project is soap making! This simple soap making kit will introduce your child to the world of soap making. Create fun colored soaps in cool shapes!
One of our favorite things to do is create small fairy gardens. They are just beautiful! This kit makes it easy!
Every artistic child needs their own art set. This kit includes markers, colored pencils, pastels, crayons, and more in a case.
Build and paint wooden cars are so much fun for kids! They can design their own cars and if you can set up a track, you can race them, too!
Knitting is such a useful skill that has been forgotten by many. This loom lets kids feel successful quickly while creating projects that can be given as gifts.
I just had to include this sewing kit because it is so cute! My kids love stuffed animals, so giving them the ability to make their own is a super fun one to express creativity.
I decided to include this book because it is full of ideas and tutorials to help kids learn different media. This would make an amazing reference for kids who are interested in art!

Gifts for Kids Who Love to Build

If i won the $500 i would be putting it towards bills to help hubby, and buying the last few books i need to complete this years school. Money is super tight so it would be a wonderful blessing to my hubby.
I am a single mother of two teenage boys who are starting to look at college options. This money would be a great addition to the limited college funds I have been able to set aside for them thus far.
Thanks for the ideas 🙂
I’m a giver and love giving gifts. Honestly, $500 would just help us to do Christmas a little “easier” for family and friends and others we might not normally be able to help.
If I were to win, I would by a few gifts and a grocery gift card to save the rest specifically for groceries.
I would put it toward our anniversary cruise set for April.
Thank you for doing the Christmas Blessings Giveaway! $500 for Christmas would mean so much to me and my family! We never seem to catch up financially and spending extra on Christmas always sets us back. We could use the money for Christmas presents and maybe be able to save some money to begin the next year instead of being behind.
My kids would love the rock paint kit! I have never seen a kit for them before!
Things have been a little tight so we would use the $500 to boost our savings and on some Christmas presents.
I would put it towards dentist bills or spring break when we follow the Santa Fe Trail from beginning to end.
I would use half of the money to purchase bikes for our local Salvation Army. I would use the rest to purchase a new sofa!
I have 7 grandchildren who love to craft with me so I would buy crafty gifts for them to make.
I’d probably use this to buy winter things for the family andv to be able to bless someone who needs help. Thanks for this opportunity!
Thank you for the opportunity! It would help a lot, I was recently let go from work so it would help with December bills and help give my son a better birthday and Christmas.
Honestly, we would probably put it towards our mortgage. It is scheduled to be paid in full by December 2019, but we are really pushing to have it paid off as soon as possible! We’ve been able to make a few extra payments by selling some items so this would help tremendously.
I would use the money for Christmas gifts and put some towards our roof repair.
If I was the lucky winner I would use it to finish Christmas & put the rest toward my little girl’s 5th birthday party in January. Thank you & Good Luck to all.
It would GREATLY bless us this year. We recently had to replace BOTH of our vehicles within a matter of months. One had to be replaced with a wheelchair van. We are having a very difficult time stretching our one income, and I really don’t know what we will be doing for Christmas. I might try to put it toward one large gift for our kids – something everyone can enjoy together.
We purchased a new home this year and are having to tighten our budget. This money would be a huge blessing for purchasing some of the “extras” that make Christmas so fun.
We owe our vet a lot of money, and she was nice enough to allow us to make payments when our kitty got seriously ill. This would go directly to paying her back.
It would certainly bless my family and farm animals! ?
As a single parent this would be able to give my kids a great Christmas. I would get them gifts and a nice Christmas dinner.
We would use the money for a refugee family, an international student, and our kids for Christmas 🙂 Thank you for doing this!
I would use the money to help refugee family and an international student that I know as well as Christmas for our kids this year.
Great gift ideas and DIY ideas to also do with your artsy kids!
