I know I’m late getting our homeschool week in review up. We haven’t been doing any intentional lessons, and I don’t plan to start doing lessons until January. We have been having fun doing little projects and Bug is doing great at learning how to use a computer.
In our homeschool this week:
We did some Christmas activities. I found two Christmas activity books at Target. The kids had fun coloring and playing with the stickers. They also used stickers to decorate a paper gingerbread house. We love the $1 section at Target!
Our big project was the DIY recycled crayons we made! So easy and the kids enjoyed using them!
Bug is having a blast learning how to use the laptop. We have been exploring Starfall.com. He loves the shape matching game, as well as the ABCs. He has mastered all of his letters and most of his sounds! He is also working on very beginning writing. His favorite letter to write is the L.
We’re reading…
I’ve been going through the complete tales of Beatrix Potter with the kids. They look forward to a new story every night!
I’m reading Wildflower Hill by Kimberley Freeman as a fun, fiction read. Reading helps keep my mind off of stuff and I love getting lost in a good book!
We’re cooking…
Peanut butter cookies! The kids helped me whip them up from scratch. They were tasty, but not as good as my Mom’s.
I’m grateful for…
My family for helping out so much while my husband is deployed. I’m also grateful for the kindness of strangers.
A photo I’d like to share
My new little man at 5 weeks old!

The things you are doing with the children are awesome and it sounds like they are enjoying it as well!!!
Thanks!
