Valentine's Day Countdown for Kids

How can I make Valentine’s Day special for my child?

If you want to make your child feel special on Valentine’s Day, I have a few ideas.

Parent/Child Date

Our local Chick Fil A has often hosted a Daddy/Daughter Date Night and a Mommy/Son Date Night. These have been super special events where everyone gets dressed up fancy, has a meal, and then some fun. One year our Chick Fil A even put on a dance along with it.

If you don’t have that option, plan your own date night with your child! It doesn’t have to be on Valentine’s Day. You can do it anytime in February.

Flower Delivery

I feel like Dads especially should set an example for how women should be treated. Dad can have flowers delivered to his daughters and make them feel super special. If you have sons, they will see that behavior, too, and will probably model it as they get older!

Special Candies

Every Valentine’s Day, my husband and I surprise our kids with a special little heart shaped box of chocolates at their place at the dining table. I buy them at the Dollar Tree, and my kids absolutely love it!
