Happy 6 Months Sweet Baby!

My happy Baby O turned 6 months old this month! Why, why, why must babies grow so fast! He is seriously the happiest baby I have ever seen. He is always laughing and smiling. It warms my heart. He is laid back and loves everyone in our family.

He had his 6 month check-up this month. He is 19 lbs. 3.8 oz. and 27.5 inches long already! He’s a bit bigger than average, but still no where near the size Bug was at his age. He started sitting up on his own a while ago and I’m sure it won’t be long before he is crawling. He is reaching and grabbing for everything. Such a curious little fellow.

Definitely playing with Bubba and Sissy is the most fun thing. He loves to watch them do everything and he has already started trying to steal their toys. I love watching my kids interact with each other. I love the way they hug and kiss the baby and sing to him. Sis even enjoys dressing him up! Lol! It warms my heart and is one of the the best parts about being a Mama.

We broke out the homemade baby food this month. He is tolerating it well. We are going slow with it because he is still getting his main nutrition from nursing.

Now the he is sitting up it is so much easier to take him shopping! I put his little shopping cart cover in the cart and in he goes. He adores sitting up and looking around the store while we shop. I now must keep the hands of two little children from grabbing things within reach. 🙂

Baby O went on his first road trip to Louisiana to visit family and go out on Mimi and Poppi’s boat. He did great! The boat is soothing to him. It puts him right to sleep.

We all came down with a nasty stomach virus over Mother’s Day. It was truly awful. I haven’t been so sick since I was a kid. Just picking up Baby O was a challenge. I don’t know if it is because he is breastfed, but he was only mildly affected by the virus. Thank God. He threw up twice and had a bit of diarrhea, but otherwise acted fine. Maybe a little cranky, but I am so thankful he was not sick like the rest of us.
