Whenever I need to learn about a topic, I always turn to a book. Books have such a power to teach, encourage, and inspire. As a modern homemaker, there is much I want to learn about taking care of the home. I didn’t come to homemaking naturally, and it’s taken lots of practice, patience, and learning to get to where I am today. In this post I am going to share with you ten homemaking books that can help you in your homemaking journey.
These are books every homemaker should read. If you care about making your home a better place, pick up one of these books and learn something new or find some inspiration!
I have also included two Catholic homemaking books. One of the things I didn’t realize about my faith until I dug deeper was how seriously we take the vocation of wife and mother. There are many excellent resources available that help to teach us how to run our homes efficiently.

This is my current read. I'm enjoying learning how to put some practical home management tips into practice from another large family mom.

The Inviting Life is an inspirational guide for those of us who aren't so open to hospitality. Admittedly, this is one of my weakest areas. I'm an introvert and like my space. This book will both inspire you to make your home an inviting refuge and teach you how to do it!
This is another Catholic homemaking book. I own the first Theology of Home and keep it on my coffee table. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but this particular book looks at the role of a homemaker through modern eyes.
