The best time to stock up on homeschool supplies is during the summer when all the back-to-school sales are happening. After I saw Jamerill’s Walmart shopping haul I decided to head there, too, to shop their Back-to-School sale. When you have four kids ages six and under, you gotta stock up on all the supplies like crayons and glue! We are starting My Father’s World First Grade next month, so it’s nice to be prepared ahead of time! Let me show you what we got and how much we paid!

We had to get crayons and colored pencils! The crayons were only .50 a box and the 12 packs of colored pencils were .97. Someone snuck a 24 pack of colored pencils in the cart. It was $2.97.
A 2 pack of glue sticks was .50. Craft sticks were on my list and I ended up paying $2.97 for that pack.
Packs of Expo markers were only $2.97 and the markers were .97.
I love buying pencil boxes when they are only .97. We did get some mechanical pencils and gel pens for the kiddos, too.
The Frozen folder was .97. It has prongs. The regular folders were only .37 each. The spiral notebooks are on sale for only .17 each!
Walmart sure knows what they are doing. They had sandwich savers hanging off the aisles in the school supply section. We ended up with a Frozen and Ninja Turtle sandwich holder. They cost $1 and $1.98.
We got a few other things, like an activity book and sidewalk chalk just for fun. All of the other school supplies we will need this year we are stocked up on. I do need to hit up the Dollar Tree to look for some activity books for my two year old to “do school” along with us.
