Thanks so much to Reading Eggs for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

As a homeschooling mom, I’m always on the lookout for tools that make our days smoother and more productive, especially when it comes to teaching my kids to read. We’ve used Reading Eggs off and on for years, but Reading Eggs Homeschool Max has truly stepped things up and made the program even more homeschool-friendly.

Reading Eggs Homeschool Max Review

Why We Love Reading Eggs Homeschool Max in our Homeschool

Let me tell you a bit about what makes this program a favorite in our home.

Custom Assignments for Your Child’s Needs

One of the features I love most about Reading Eggs Homeschool Max is the ability to create specific assignments for my kids. I can tailor their lessons to meet them exactly where they are, whether they need extra phonics support or are ready to move ahead with reading comprehension.

As a homeschool mom, having this level of control means I can easily fit Reading Eggs Homeschool Max into our learning rhythm without it feeling like just another screen time activity.

Choose the Books They Read

Another big win? I get to choose which books my children read. This gives me peace of mind, especially when I want to make sure the content fits with our values or reading level goals. There are hundreds of leveled readers available, and it’s easy to find something engaging and age-appropriate.

I was very impressed to find that I can filter readers a variety of ways including reading level, age, grade level, and more. There are also several categories to choose from. You can find readers that align with the subjects and topics you are teaching in your homeschool. I even found Edith Nesbit’s version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream! There are so many great books, just browse and assign them!

Printable Resources for Offline Learning

I also appreciate the robust library of printable worksheets and activities. We keep our screen time limited, and I love having high-quality materials ready to go that reinforce what they’re learning online.

You can print worksheets to go along with the lessons your child is learning, you can print certificates, if you’re worried about state standards they even have that available for you!

The Read-Aloud Fluency Recording Feature (Our Favorite!)

Hands down, our favorite feature has to be the read-aloud tool. My child can record themselves reading aloud, and I can listen to it later. This is not only helpful for me to assess fluency and progress, but it’s also been so motivating for my kids to hear themselves read!

Designed for Homeschoolers

Reading Eggs Homeschool Max takes everything that was great about the original program and makes it even more accessible for homeschool families. Whether you’re teaching one child or up to four, this program offers flexibility, structure, and engaging content that works.

We’ve found Reading Eggs Homeschool Max to be a valuable tool in our homeschool, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a reading program that your kids can enjoy, and that you can confidently manage.
