One of my very favorite Christmas activities is the 12 days of Christmas. It was always done a little bit differently in my family. Normally, you would find another family to bless with a gift in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. In my family, my Nana would give each of her children’s families 12 gifts to open in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. She would include little poems that sort of went along with the song, but matched that particular gift. She always has interesting 12 days of Christmas ideas and she always labeled the gifts with 12 days of Christmas gift tags.

  1. I was planning on doing something like this for my son who is stationed in Afghanistan. He doesn’t really need anything over there & doesn’t have a lot of room, so my plan was little gifts leading up to Christmas. But…..he is leaving the base he is on and heading to a new one, so he may not get anything from us until after Christmas!! 🙁

Welcome to the 2014 Schoolhouse Crew run, I am looking forward to working with you.

    1. Yes, this would be a good idea for those deployed. I didn’t even think of that. My hubby left for Afghanistan just after Christmas last year. I know all about mailing stuff over there! Thank you so much for the welcome!
