Valentine’s Day for Preschool and Kindergarten
Valentine’s Day makes a perfect preschool theme, so you’ll definitely want to pair it with our Valentine’s Day theme preschool activities and lesson plans!
Fun and exciting Valentine's Day books for your preschool! We love this book series. It always has my kids in stitches. "That lovely old lady has returned just in time for Valentine's Day. Now she's swallowing items to make a very special gift for her valentine!" This book looks like it would be amazing with a craft project! "One day it rains hearts, and Cornelia Augusta catches them. She realizes that the hearts are perfect for making valentines. Each heart is special in its own way, and Cornelia Augusta knows exactly who to send them to: her animal friends." This book is from another one of our favorite series! "When Mrs. Mousely asks her class to make valentines, Clayton and Desmond decide to make one together and give it to their teacher as a surprise. But things don't go as planned. First Clayton puts too much glitter on the card. Then Desmond puts on too many hearts. Soon the friends are arguing and they rip the card in half. "I'm going to make my own valentine!" they both say and go home in a huff. But then Desmond and Clayton realize that by working together they can make the biggest, best valentine ever!" This is another hilarious book that kids just love! "Gilbert is all set to write fifteen friendly valentine cards to his classmates. But how can he write a nice poem for the boy who tweaked his nose, or the girl who made fun of his glasses? Instead, Gilbert writes two not-so-nice valentines...and signs the wrong name on both!" My kids adore Little Blue Truck, so we always love holiday books from this series. ""Beep!" said Blue. "Happy Valentine's Day!" Join Little Blue Truck as he delivers Valentine's Day cards to all his farm animal friends. But as Blue beeps along, he starts to wonder: will he get any cards of his own?" I just had to share this book because it's so sweet! "As Little Cub and Grampa Bear’s fishing adventure is interrupted by mischievous otters, the young polar bear begins to question why we must love others… even the seemingly unlovable." What kid doesn't love Valentine's Day treats? "From sparkly cards to heart-shaped cakes to a party with friends, Valentine’s Day Treats captures the joy and fun of holiday traditions. The fun, read-aloud rhymes and bright, adorable illustrations are perfect for evoking favorite holiday memories and—with the included recipe to make your very own heart-shaped cereal treats—creating new ones!" We love Little Critter! "From decorating the classroom with hearts to eating cupcakes and making Valentine’s Day mailboxes, Little Critter is having the best day ever. He’s even making an extra-special card for an extra-special valentine!" My boys are obsessed with dinosaurs! "Join Logan this Valentine's day! He is busy making cards for all his friends. He is reminded of all the great qualities & reasons why he loves them." Another sweet book! "It's the sweetest holiday of the year!
