Unlike pasta, though, eggs are extremely good for you. Eggs are a yummy source of protein and they have become a breakfast staple around our house. Sis loves her eggs. Did you know that eggs are a great source of choline? Choline is an important nutrient because it is believed to keep the brain and nerves healthy and reduce inflammation in the body. You can read more about that here.
I recently discovered a new way to eat eggs, and it’s my favorite way so far! Baked eggs are so delicious and so easy to make! All you do is grease a ramekin. I like to use butter. Crack an egg into the ramekin. Add a splash of milk and some salt and pepper. Bake those babies at 375 degrees for 15 minutes and you’ve got a tasty breakfast or brunch!
Now, I’m not a runny yolk person so I take a fork and break up the yolk before I bake it. If you like runny yolks, don’t break it up! I like to top mine with pepper jack cheese and salsa, but you could top it with ham or chives or whatever sounds good to you! I can’t believe how easy it is to make baked eggs and that I never had them sooner! They are delicious! This post is happily linked up to:
