Do you have a child who loves dinosaurs? Maybe you’re looking for a great activity to do for a preschool dinosaur theme. One of my very favorite preschool themes to teach kids of all ages is dinosaurs! I currently have a five year old who is dinosaur obsessed, so I’m going to show you all of the fun preschool dinosaur activities I’m planning to do with him in our homeschool!

If you’re looking for a theme for young kids that is lots of fun, you’ll definitely want to plan a dinosaur theme. There are just so many different activities you can plan for an entire week of fun! We did a D is for Dinosaur theme a few years ago with My Father’s World and it was so much fun!

Dinosaur Crafts

If you’re looking for an awesome dinosaur craft that young children will go crazy for, you need to try these cool marble painting dinosaurs. My kids love that they can go crazy making their dinosaurs look however they want!

We are big fans of paper plate crafts around here. There is just so much you can do with a paper plate! These paper plate dinosaurs are so cute! My son really loves the long necks, so having a fun dinosaur activity he can do just for that brontosaurus dinosaur!

Dinosaur Sensory Play

Fizzing Dinosaur Eggs – This has got to be one of the coolest sensory activities. You’ll make dinosaur eggs out of baking soda and make sure you form the eggs around small plastic dinosaurs. Kids LOVE to use eye droppers to break down the eggs and reveal the dinosaurs inside!

My kids love sensory play. This adorable dinosaur sensory bin looks like so much fun! You could even add some small plastic eggs with small toy dinosaurs in them inside this sensory bin for a fun dinosaur scavenger hunt!

Dinosaur Washing Activity – This activity is super fun to do with little kids!

Printable Dinosaur Activities

I have some dinosaur lovers in my house who really enjoy fine motor activities such as my Dinosaur alphabet printable. In this activity kids work on letter recognition skills by hunting for the matching letters!

Anyone else have kids who love coloring pages? I think coloring pages are the easiest activities to give to kids. I have some color by number dinosaur printables available here on the website that my kids think is just a fun activity. These dinosaur coloring pages look like a lot of fun, too!

Dinosaur Math Puzzles – These printable math puzzles are very fun for little hands to put together! These will go great with your dinosaur theme.
