If you come into our house at any given time you are likely to find stacks of books on various surfaces in our home. I love to read and usually have 3-4 books going at once. Since we homeschool, we are often reading through a few different chapter books, and of course my older kids are reading their own chapter books. Since we love books so much, it’s fun tp have a lot of DIY bookmark crafts available. These DIY popsicle stick bookmarks are simple to make and super cute!
How To Make Popsicle Stick Bookmarks
You only need a few supplies to make your DIY popsicle stick bookmarks. They end up being so cute. My nine year old daughter especially loves creating adorable crafts like this one. It’s also super easy for her to do by herself!
Supplies:
- Popsicle or Craft Stick
- Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
- Glitter Paper
- Scissors
- Paper Glue
- Star Template
These popsicle bookmarks are just so adorable and the perfect craft for your kids!
Instructions:
Use this PDF template to cut out a star shape.
Use the template to cut out a star shape from a glitter paper.
Take a clean popsicle stick (or craft stick).
Use paints to color the popsicle stick.
Then allow the paint to dry completely.
Once the paint is dried, use glue to stick the star on one end of the popsicle stick.
And there you go, a super fun and easy bookmark craft you can do with your kids! These would even make awesome gifts or party favors for maybe a bookclub or book themed party! Another cute idea is to gather all of the supplies and let kids make their own star bookmarks at a party. You can encourage both creativity and a love of reading all at the same time!
