Instant Pot Rice Pilaf

I know this is going to sound funny, but the first place I had wild rice pilaf was Red Lobster. Any time I would order seafood, I would always get the wild rice pilaf on the side. Now, every time I make seafood at home, I love to serve it with rice pilaf. Wild rice pilaf is even better!

Do you soak wild rice before cooking?

You can definitely soak wild rice before cooking if you’d like. If you soak it for several hours, it is beneficial because the wild rice will need to cook longer than regular rice. Since we are pressure cooking this wild rice, there is no need to soak it beforehand.

How do you add flavor to wild rice?

You add flavor to wild rice the same way you add flavor to regular rice. You can use garlic and onion, and a variety of herbs and seasonings to add flavor to your rice pilaf. Cooking the rice in broth also helps add flavor.

What does wild rice go well with?

I love to serve wild rice with chicken, fish, or pork dishes. Try this delicious wild rice pilaf with my Italian chicken breasts or pork chops.
